Problem Note 54396: An orphan metadata client connection is created when you log on to the SAS® Visual Analytics web application with a public user ID

In a SAS® 9.4 Anonymous environment, an orphan metadata client connection is created when you use a public user ID to log on to the SAS Visual Analytics web application (WIPClientAccess). In addition, the orphan metadata client connection does not close. The problem occurs because WIPClientAccess does not allow public users, by default.
When this problem occurs, messages similar to the following appear for the SAS® Metadata Server in the SAS® Management Console window:

There is no solution or workaround for this problem. However, the problem is fixed in the second maintenance release for SAS 9.4 (TS1M2).
